One Month Into My Hair Journey

Time really flies. I can't believe its been a month and a day. I've learned so much and Im still learning about my hair and how to take care of it. Hare Care is a whole different world. I don't have much to say but I am proud of myself for being consistent with my regimen and research. I hope to reach the 4 on my shirt by May!!

April 2012 Length Check

This is my length check for April. I really tried to capture my hair at it's true length but it was so oily and stiff that I just couldn't get it right. I realized that the right side of my hair grows faster than the left side. I'm not sure if it's because of the way that I sleep or what. Over all, my hair did grow about an inch. I am satisfied. My goal is to keep retaining length and to gain thickness! Once this hairlista JBCO challenge is over, on to coconut oil and some more castor oil (cheaper/different brand). I have about three strands of hair that are BSL. It is so weird. I wonder if other people have experienced this. Hair strands that are much longer than the others. It shows me that my hair CAN grow to that length. I can't wait to see what the rest of this month has to bring me.
I'm sorry for the quality of the pictures. I just couldn't get it right.

My Regimen vs. Real Queens Regimen

I will have to do Challenge B.
Challenge B = Doing the GHE as often as possible and not having to change your regimen. I can't do Challenge A because I know what works for me. I just started my hair journey and I can already tell that my hair likes my current regiemen. Technically I have been doing Challenge B since day one of my hair journey, but as far as Challenge A and being faithful to it, I don't think I can do it.
I am content with my current regimen. I have added African Black soap to my regimen though! So far so good.

I Grew A Little Over An Inch!!

Okay, so I just took my braids down so I can wash it. Sunday = Wash Day. So, I decided to KINDA cheat. April 6, 2012 will mark ONE MONTH since my Hair Journey. I decided to stretch my hair to see if I made any progress and yes, yes I have. I grew an inch. Or, it seems to be a little over an inch? It's not OFFICIAL because I didn't straighten it, but we shall see! I'm so excited.

I tried to take this picture as straight as I could. I took about 10 of them and they were all at the 3 mark line! APL is looking very promising!
